07The Fairbanks North Star Borough Toastmasters Club was born from an idea of personal development. Through teamwork the club began meeting on May 22, 2002. The club chartered on July 1, 2003.
Toastmasters International's theme of "Public Speaking Skills Aren't Debatable" has spurred the membership to strive for their best in all endeavors of life. It is so true, that people who get ahead in life are those who can communicate effectively. You will enter Toastmasters the first time with your fine talents and personality, but be prepared to have those qualities enhanced with each following visit. You will be shown how to listen effectively, think on your feet, and speak confidently with your time investment in Toastmasters. You will learn valuable leadership skills too--in a supportive, non-intimidating environment. That is our commitment to you and to ourselves.
